What is whoa-horsie? This is an eRPG where you can decide to play as either a horse or a human!! The game is a combination of a traditional simulated game and a role playing game. This means everything is automated, but you get to decide how the game will run by how you play.

As a horse: Playing as a horse you'll join a herd once you're born. If you're a colt then you'll try to grow up big and strong and fight to become lead stallion of the herd. If you're a filly then you'll have to be smart to become the lead mare of the herd. If you decide you don't like the herd you're in you can leave and look for another one once you're big enough. Be careful though! As a wild horse you risk being captured by the surrounding ranchers and trainers.

eRPG: the evolution of role playing games. In an eRPG your role playing is more structured and fluid so that you don't get the random hassle and out of place posts that are common in RPG. Your characters age, get injured and die all based on the underlying structure of the game. Although the structure may vary from eRPG to eRPG they all have a common thread — automation. The behind the scenes programing creates a framework for players to build their own story line but stay within its restrictions at the same time.

As a human: You're a rancher or horse trainer looking to catch and tame your own wild horses! It'll be up to you to catch, train, and then show your horses. Some of the horses you catch will let you train them, others won't -- it'll be up to the horse and how well you can train. If your horse lets you train it you can compete in top class shows and competitions, otherwise you'll go back to trying to catch a horse again. Beware! the horses you catch can escape if you're not careful or experienced enough to keep them.

The game is free to play and upgrade. When you join you get an account where you can create and manage your people and horses to play with. If you decide you like playing you can upgrade your account to get more neat features: online journal, address book, games, and more. Upgrades are free too!!

Information for parents: This game is made for children 16 and older. This game is not indended to promote mature themes and situations but due to the nature of the game it is more likely than not that this will occur. As a result it is not suitable for younger children. Our mission: Whoa-horsie.com strives to give people ages 16+ a place to relax and share their mutual love of horses. Our focus is to educate as well as stress realistic equine care and management in hopes to stop the abuse and slaughter of more then 40,000 to 80,000 equines a year. This game in particular stresses the steadily declining wild horse population around the globe and hopes to educate children in order to stop the destruction of the last truely free horses in the world. Members learn that there are consequences for all of their actions and in this way our game encourages children to act responsibly, and rehabilitate and care for unwanted or neglected horses on the game. It is our hope that these values will be instilled in future generations.
